Marc-Antoine Châtelain
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto working with PROOF, an interdisciplinary research program examining policy interventions to reduce household food insecurity.
My research in Education and Health Economics focuses on how policy design shapes behavior and social outcomes. In education, I use quasi-experimental methods and field experiments to study how schools respond to policy incentives and how students acquire skills, form beliefs, and make decisions. In health economics, I leverage large administrative datasets to examine how income dynamics shape household food insecurity in Canada.
I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto in 2025 and hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the Université de Montréal.
